For better or worse they were ultimately in charge of the development, even though not being directly involved in it.Īnd if the NV community gets saddled with a creation club, which I highly doubt it will, it will be Bethesda's decision, not Obsidian's. Bethesda owns the IP, they set the terms, the deadlines, the QA/QC, what the contracted developer would get paid, etc. I did not get the impression the OP was assuming that, but if that were the case they would not be wrong to do so. The OP is assuming that Bethesda was incharge of New Vegas's development.
